In this method press the Power button at the login screen. Then, press and hold the SHIFT button on your keyboard and click Restart.

I inform you that you are about to restart in order to change several Window Startup options, including enabling Safe Mode. Press Restart.

Your computer restarts and displays nine startup settings along with numbers, including Safe Mode, S M with Networking and S M with Command Prompt

Press the F4 button on your keyboard, to enable the Safe Mode, F5 button to enable S M with Networking and F6 button to enable S M with Command Prompt. Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 now boot according to the setting you selected.
